Head Gear
Students are not allowed to wear hats, headbands, Do Rags, bandanas, scarves or anything else on their head.
Tops
All students should be wearing official classical magnet shirts or sweatshirts. They can be purchased from the www.CTShirtman.com web site. All tops are either black or white (the grey t-shirt is not a uniform) and have the official Classical embroidery on the left chest. Students may not buy their own shirts and get them embroidered. Students may not wear sweaters, jackets or hoodies as their outer layer. Those items must be worn below the official shirt or top.
Pants/Skirts/Shorts
Students have to purchase their own pants, shorts or skirts. These items cannot be made of jean, plastic, sweatshirt or any other non-conforming material. They must be professional looking and either Navy blue, black, white or tan in color. Skirts and shorts must be down to the knee. No skin above the knee can be showing at any time. Students may not wear any materials which are camouflage in design.
Footwear
Students may wear sneaker or shoes to school. They should avoid footwear items which can be deemed to be unsafe. Footwear like high heels, flip flops and slippers should be avoided.
Arrival and Departure
Students should be in uniform for the academic day. Students should be dressed in uniform when they arrive at the school. They will not be permitted to enter the building out of uniform, and they should avoid changing in the street. They may change out of uniform at 2:30 for specials. They may travel home out of uniform.
Field Trips & School events
Students always wear their uniforms on field trips unless explicitly mentioned in the permission slip. Students are not required to wear school uniforms for after school events like dances and sporting events.
