Instructional Strategy Department
Classical Magnet School does not discriminate in its acceptance policy, which is based on the magnet lottery system.
All students will enroll in and be actively engaged in a rigorous college preparatory education. Upon acceptance, parents will be required to invite a representative from the school to a PPT meeting prior to end the school year and to provide a current IEP. Parents should also expect to attend a PPT meeting within the first marking period to determine the extent of the accommodations and modifications to be made within the curriculum. Total inclusion is the existing service delivery model implemented at Classical Magnet School. Students with an IEP will have accommodations and modifications made within the curriculum which will prepare them for admission and success to college. These accommodations will be made within the rigorous liberal arts coarses offered to students including but not limited to English/Literature, Algebra, Latin, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Philosophy and Pre-Calculus.
